Dirty South Reggae/Rock Band Sidereal Is Raging Across the South

If haven’t heard of Sidereal, then you are missing out. The band, with hometown roots of St Johns, Florida, is quickly burning a trail of fans and local followers throughout the state.

It all started with a note and a dream. Well actually, it all started in May 2009 as a simple jam session with friends and steadily grew into something far greater. Pulling from some of their favorites, Colin Paterson (vocals/rhythm guitar), Matt Henderson (lead guitar) and the Costas Brothers Niko (Drums) and Lukas (Sax/Keys), the band developed their own unique full flavor of reggae, rock, ska and ever the slightest hint of punk music. The band started to thrive, and after multiple performances at local venues such as Jack Rabbits and Freebird Live, the band found themselves playing alongside ‘bigger’ bands including Easy Star All-Stars, The Supervillains, Badfish “The Sublime Tribute”, Groundation, Passafire, The B Foundation, Mystic Roots Band, and Pepper!

Sidereal released their self titled debut album on September 25th, 2010. In this album, the past meets the present and future of reggae rock. The band is continuing to record and play stage performances locally and nationally, much to the thrill of their quickly growing fan base. The band is a favorite amoung many of teh local high schools — Creekside, Batram Trail, Nease, and MORE — and thanks to a very successful show at the Blackwater Festival and the savvy management of Costas Real Time Entertainment & Management, the band is quickly becoming a popular favorite performer at many of the colleges in Florida and neighboring Georgia.
