Who we are
We are THE Twist-o-Lime Communications. And you are here. Our website address is: twist-o-lime.com.
What personal data we collect and why
Your personal data will be used to support your exciting experience throughout this awesome website, to manage access to your account. And should y’all decide to hire us (and we sure hope you do), to help set up your project(s) & online payments.
So you wanna leave comments & reviews?
That’s cool. But before you can, a brilliant anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar commenting service to see if you are already using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your anything you post, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comments & review.
Media
WARNING: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
When you use one of our handy-dandy online forms we collect the data provided in the form. And we also track the IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If it’s a malicious IP, we add it to our master blacklist.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are deliciously convenient, so that you don’t have to fill in your details again any time you leave a comment. And these cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in to your account, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, which can collect a lot of data about how people use our website. Including: your time of visit, pages visited, time spent on each page of our webpages and referring site details (such as the URL you came through to arrive at this amazing site).
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For anyone that registers on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All registered users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of your personal data. You can also request that we delete any of your personal data. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
